The NJ sports betting version includes Neteller, Paypal and ACH deposits, among others. The SugarHouse customer support team said things on the Pennsylvania side are limited for now, but that is expected to change.

The land-based Sugarhouse Casino calls Philadelphia home. To some, it may seem rather strange that SugarHouse sports betting launched in a neighboring state. Then again, NJ sports betting launched on June 14, 2018. The Keystone State’s launch date is May 28, 2019.

The PlaySugarHouse Sports app went live in New Jersey on Aug. 23 of last year. It originally launched under the Golden Nugget Atlantic City license, but later switched to Monmouth Park. The move was so it could offer NBA betting. The Kambi-powered offering is integrated with the previously existing casino platform.

If you have an NJ account, you are not set up to get started on the PA version of the betting app right away. Unfortunately, the system is not that simple.

For one, the New Jersey Division of Gaming Enforcement and PGCB operate under separate guidelines. Moreover, the apps are not in sync with one another. If you’re an NJ customer with an established account, prepare to start from scratch, at least when using the PA platform.

The PA site does offer express signup using NJ login credentials. There is a good chance it will not work. The support team rep noted some players had no trouble registering in New Jersey, but there were some issues with the Pennsylvania site. Then again, the online chat took place less than 24 hours into the testing phase.

The SugarHouse team is ready to get all customers verified, “even if we have to do it manually.”

NO iOS SugarHouse app, for now
